over 20 years experience, living in
Waikouaiti, East Otago, about 40km from
Dunedin.

I specialise in using natural timber
which has been locally sourced and milled
by my father at his boutique sawmill
in Palmerston, Otago.
I also
use quality recycled materials such
as Oregon timber doors and leadlight
windows which provide a unique finnish
and a natural handcrafted look and feel.

My aim is to
provide a chemical free, safe environment
in and around your home by using all
natural, sustainable and re-cycled materials..
We build charming curved
roof cabins, reminiscent of Railway Huts
from a bygone era. Built to the size you
require these cabins are easily relocatable
and make perfect Rail Trail accommodation
or studio, office, sleepout etc.
They are built from a selection of untreated,
new heartwood timbers of Macrocarpa, Redwood,
Lawson Cypress, Larch and Spruce. Doors
and windows are recycled natural timber
and can include beautiful leadlight glass
feature windows. Eco-friendly wool insulation
keeps these cabins well insulated. Natural
timber oils are used on the interior walls
and ceiling, with low VOC polyurethane for
a hard-wearing floor surface. They can be
fitted with 3 x 12 volt lights and wiring
for battery hook-up.
The external
finish is normally Macrocarpa, with a heavy
gauge, newly painted corrugated iron roof.
The building paper under the macrocarpa
and iron is heavy gauge and self supporting
paper.
The exterior of the doors
and windows are primed and ready to paint.
The macrocarpa walls could be left to naturally
silver off, or you can choose the paint
scheme and timber finishes. The windows
can be double glazed if you wish, at extra
cost.
These cabins are built on
hardwood skids, with lifting eyes for ease
of transport. We can custom design and build
cabins to suit your particular requirements

Picnic
Tables
We make picnic tables
in many styles and can custom build to fit
your circumstances or design ideas. They
are all built from natural timber, usually
Macrocarpa but also can be built for you
from Redwood, Lawson Cypress or Larch. The
timbers are all safe, untreated and look
great!
Chairs
We make a range of chairs, the most
popular of which is the classic Cape Cod
Chair. As above, they are all built using
natural, untreated wood. If you have a design
of you own in mind for a single chair or
for a set then please contact us. Our prices
are very reasonable and the quality is very
high.
Planters
Macrocarpa, with it's natarual durability
is ideal for the range of planters and raised
garden beds we can supply, built to your

Bench Seats
We also
make bench seats, again from natural, untreated
timber. The quality is high and look great
in any garden setting. We can custom build
to any design or size you prefer. Please
